Terms of Service
In plain words: DoubtBoard is an AI tutor that explains your doubts on an animated board. Use it to learn, not to cheat; if you’re under 18, a parent or guardian needs to be on board; AI explanations can occasionally be wrong, so double-check before your exam. The legally binding version follows.
1. Who we are
DoubtBoard (the “Service”) is operated by Plyxzy Solutions Private Limited (CIN: U62010RJ2026PTC116279) (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in India. By accessing or using the Service — at doubtboard.in or any associated app — you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
The Service lets students ask academic questions and receive step-by-step explanations rendered on an animated whiteboard with optional voice narration, plus related features such as paper solving, mock exams and daily practice. Explanations are generated by artificial-intelligence models based on your question.
3. Eligibility and minors
- If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By allowing a minor to use the Service, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for the minor’s use of the Service.
- We ask every account for a date of birth so the protections for minors can be applied. Providing a false date of birth is a breach of these Terms.
- Any payment for a subscription must be made by an adult. For users under 18, the subscription is contracted by the parent or legal guardian named at checkout, who accepts the consent statement, makes the payment, and is our contracting party for that subscription; the student is the authorised user. Indian law does not permit a minor to enter a binding contract, so a subscription can never be contracted by the minor themselves — the guardian’s agreement is the operative contract. The guardian may withdraw consent at any time at doubtboard.in/consent, which cancels the subscription immediately.
- See our Privacy Policy for how we handle children’s data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
4. Accounts
You can try a limited number of questions without an account. To continue, you sign in with Google; your account is tied to that Google identity. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to it secure. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate anyone else.
5. Free tier and paid plans
- The free tier includes a limited number of board explanations per account (the current limit is shown in the app and may change).
- The Starter plan is a paid subscription (monthly or annual) offering a modest monthly allowance of board explanations and the features described at the time of purchase. The current allowance is shown in the app and on the pricing page.
- The Plus plan is a paid subscription (monthly or annual) offering a larger monthly allowance of board explanations and additional features as described at the time of purchase. The current allowance is shown in the app and on the pricing page.
- The Premium plan is a paid subscription (monthly or annual) offering unlimited board explanations (subject to fair use, below) plus an additional accuracy-verification pass on explanations.
- Current prices for each plan are shown before you pay and may vary by region. Payments are processed by third-party gateways (currently Razorpay; additional gateways may be added for other regions); we never store your card or UPI credentials.
- Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Fair use. “Unlimited” on the Premium plan means unlimited for genuine studying: currently up to 450 board explanations a month (UTC calendar month), which is more than any student can watch, plus a small grace allowance beyond that so nobody is cut off mid-revision. We may also enforce rate limits and abuse detection on every plan to keep the Service available for everyone. If you genuinely need more, write to us.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to cheat in live examinations or violate your school’s or examination board’s academic-integrity rules — DoubtBoard is a tutoring aid that explains methods and concepts, not a cheating tool;
- attempt to bypass question limits, rate limits, or payment requirements (including by creating multiple accounts);
- scrape, bulk-download, reverse-engineer, or use automated means to access the Service or extract its content;
- upload content that is unlawful, abusive, obscene, infringing, or unrelated to learning, or attempt to make the Service produce such content;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
7. AI-generated content disclaimer
Explanations are generated by AI and, despite our safeguards (computed graphs, validation passes), may contain errors or omissions. The Service is a study aid, not a substitute for teachers, textbooks, or professional advice. Verify important results independently, especially before examinations. We do not guarantee any academic outcome.
8. Intellectual property
- The Service — including its software, board engine, design, and branding — is owned by Plyxzy Solutions Private Limited or its licensors. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for your own learning.
- You retain ownership of the questions and images you submit. You grant us a licence to process, store, and transmit them as needed to operate and improve the Service (including sending them to AI providers to generate your explanation).
- You may use the explanations generated for you for personal, non-commercial study.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers — including Google (sign-in), AI model providers, hosting, analytics, error reporting, and payment gateways — as described in our Privacy Policy. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms may apply to your interaction with them (for example, Google’s terms for Google sign-in).
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by writing to support@doubtboard.in. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, unlawful use, or risk to the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be limited by contract.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plyxzy Solutions Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost data, or academic outcomes — arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or ₹1,000 if you have paid nothing).
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections, the courts at Jaipur, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the “Last updated” date below will change. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Contact and grievances
